Process Optimization
From IPAPI
What is Process Optimization?
Process optimization is an activity used to increase the efficiency of a process. An efficient process is one where non value-added work and unintentional work are minimized. A process that is completely efficient is one that does not create any unintentional work nor does it have any non value-added work or activities within it.
IPAPI Definition
Process Optimization - An action or activity taken on a process that improves its efficiency (see process efficiency) in respect to the intended outcome of the process.
Overview
Process optimization is the act of doing something that changes a process with the express purpose of improving the efficiency of the process in respect to the process's intended outcome. The success (or lack of success) of a process optimization activity is determined by its impact on the efficiency of the process.
